Two waters, two kinds of light

Vero Beach sits between the Atlantic and the Indian River Lagoon. An oceanfront ceremony gets bright, open light and the sound of the surf. A ceremony on the lagoon side is calmer, with the water flat and the sunset right in front of you.

Both look good on film, but they need different plans. On the ocean we watch the wind and the glare and keep the audio clean. On the lagoon we time the portraits for the last light of the day, when the sky over the water turns warm.

Up the coast from our studio

We come up from Port St. Lucie on I-95 or US 1. Before the wedding we go through the timeline with you and your planner, so we know where each moment happens and can be there ahead of it, from getting ready to the last dance.

Then we cut your film. A full length film of the day with the ceremony and the speeches complete, and a highlight film, a few minutes long and cut to music, that you can send to the people who could not make the trip.

When is the best light for a Vero Beach ceremony?
On the barrier island the ceremony often faces the ocean, to the east, but the sun sets to the west over the lagoon. Late afternoon light is softer on faces, so we look at your ceremony time and your sunset together, and save a few minutes after for portraits facing west.
Can you record the vows clearly on the beach?
Yes. Clean audio of the vows and the speeches is part of every film we make. Waves and wind are loud on a camera microphone, so we record the vows and the speeches on their own audio and put them under the picture in the edit. You hear every word.
Do you also take the wedding photos?
Yes. Our photo and film packages put photographers and videographers on the same day, from one team, so the two crews work together instead of around each other. If you already have a videographer and want photos only, we have photo only packages too, listed on our weddings page.
